This volume, deals essentially with tin-glazed wares of Persia, Spain, Italy and some of Northern European manufacture, as well as lead-glazed wares of France and Germany. The Kassebaum collection of ceramics, which chiefly concerns the medieval and Renaissance periods, was formed over a span of twenty-three years. The Foreword is by John V. G. Mallet, Keeper of the Department of Ceramics, Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Presented for the first time are 57 full color and 74 black and white images that represent a portion of a most important collection, which should extend our historical imagination as well as yielding direct pleasure from the close observation of the individual elements of the collection.
Sharp, solid copy, previous owner sticker, no other marks. FAIR dustjacket with edge tears & chip.
